Access matters
Smaller organizations deserve the same quality of technical thinking and execution available to larger companies.
Founded in 2023
Modern Methods helps small and mid-sized businesses use AI, automation, and practical technology to operate more efficiently—without the cost or commitment of building a full-time engineering team.
How we started
Modern Methods was founded in 2023 by a group of lifelong friends who saw the same gap from different sides of business and technology: growing companies face complex operational problems, but many are not ready to hire a full-time software engineer, automation specialist, data professional, or technical team.
At the same time, AI and automation were creating powerful new ways to reduce repetitive work, connect information, and help people make better decisions. Too often, those capabilities felt built for large enterprises with large budgets—not the small and mid-sized businesses that could benefit from them most.
We started Modern Methods to bridge that gap. Our clients gain direct access to people who can understand the business problem, design the right approach, and build the solution—without having to create an internal engineering department first.
Our purpose
We act as a practical extension of your team. That can mean improving one frustrating workflow, connecting systems that do not communicate, automating a manual process, creating an internal tool, or building reporting that gives leadership a clearer view of the business.
Our role is not to introduce technology for its own sake. It is to bring the technical thinking and hands-on delivery that growing businesses need, scaled to the problem in front of them.
What we believe
The way we work matters as much as what we build.
Smaller organizations deserve the same quality of technical thinking and execution available to larger companies.
We understand the process, people, and desired outcome before recommending AI, automation, or software.
We build right-sized, maintainable solutions that create value without unnecessary complexity.
Technology should remove repetitive work and give teams more time for judgment, relationships, and meaningful work.
Who we help
We work with small and mid-sized organizations that want to improve operations but do not need—or cannot yet justify—a full-time engineering team.
They may be scaling faster than their processes, relying on spreadsheets and repetitive data entry, gathering reports by hand, or asking employees to move information between systems all day. We help turn those points of friction into focused, maintainable improvements.
Our team members work across multiple U.S. time zones, giving us the flexibility to coordinate around client needs and keep projects moving. Geography and time differences are rarely a barrier to clear communication or dependable delivery.
